Warry Copse Cemetery, Courcelles-Le-Comte (P de C)

COURCELLES-LE-COMTE, is a village and commune in the Department of the Pas-deCalais, 16 kilometres South of Arras, between the roads to Bucquoy and Bapaume, and two kilometres North of the railway station at Achiet on the main line from Paris and Amiens to Arras and Lille. The village was taken by the 3rd Division on the 21 st August, 1918.

WARRY COPSE CEMETERY is 915 metres South-East of the village, on the East side of the main railway line, and 36 metres North-West of the small copse from which it takes its name. It was made by the 3rd Division Burial Officer at the end of August, 1918, and it contains the graves of 40 Officers and men of that Division, of whom two are unidentified. It covers an area of 280 square metres, exclusive of the long footpath leading to it. It is enclosed by a low rubble wall and stands on high ground with wide views in all directions.
