Quesnoy Farm Military Cemetery, Bucquoy (P. de C.)

Details
Bucquoy is a village and commune in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais ten miles south of Arras. The village was occupied by the 7th Division on the 17th March 1917, and it was the scene of very heavy fighting in March and April 1918.

Quesnoy Farm is a large farm in the open country between Bucquoy and Monch-au-Bois, and the cemetery is 275 yard North-West of the farm house. It was made in April 1918, and after the Armistice a French Plot of 319 graves (of 1914-15) was formed by concentrations from the neighbouring battlefields; but in 1923 these French and four German graves were removed to other cemeteries. It now contains the graves of 60 soldiers from the United Kingdom, one of whom is unidentified, and lamost all belonged to the 15th or 16th Lancashire Fusiliers.
